So you got your hair done and you don’t like the color. This method does not work to get rid of bleached hair but it will bring your natural hair color back if any other color.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Tide or other detergent
  • Leave in conditioner
Step1
Wet your hair and wash as normal with Tide laundry detergent. You can use the kind with bleach but only “color safe” bleach or you risk lightening your hair and possibly burning your skin.
Step2
Pat hair dry and repeat if needed. Your hair color is not the same wet as dry. Use the cold air setting on your hair dryer as your hair has had enough abuse today.
Step3
Apply a leave in conditioner to keep your hair from drying out and breaking. Use the same conditioner for the next three days to ensure your hair enough time to soak it up.

Tips & Warnings

  • I would not suggest repeating this more then twice in a 6 hour period and best results are two days of washing.
  • Liquid detergent rinses easier then powder.
  • Be sure to rinse hair completely or the left over soap could damage and dry your hair or cause a chemical burn on your scalp.

on 1/26/2008 I might need this soon. I had a bleach experience and now my brunette hair is orangish in spots. Thanks for the tips!
