In this article you will learn how to make peppermint ginger tea. Regular ginger tea is good for many different things. It is good for arthritis, osteoporosis, colds, heart, nausea, digestion, and weight control. However, if you dislike how spicy ginger tea can be then you may like peppermint ginger tea, because the peppermint tends to cool the ginger taste down a little bit.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Dried ginger herb
  • Dried peppermint herb
  • Tea ball
  • Teapot, sauce pan, or cup
  • Sweetener (optional)
  1. Step 1

Bring 1 cup of water to a boil in a teapot on top of a stove. Once the water comes to a boil turn the heat off and allow the water to stop boiling.

  2. Step 2

In a tea ball combine 1/2 a tablespoon of dried ginger and 1/2 a tablespoon of dried peppermint. Make sure the tea ball is closed tightly and then add it to the teapot.

  3. Step 3

Allow the hot water and herbs to steep for five minutes. The longer you let it steep the stronger the tea will become. If you like strong tea then I suggest letting it steep for ten minutes or so.

  4. Step 4

Once the peppermint ginger tea has steeped long enough to your liking you can then pour the tea into a cup and drink it hot or allow it to cool and place a few ice cubes into the cup of tea. Add your favorite sweetener to the cup of tea if needed.

Tips & Warnings
  • If you don't own a teapot or don't wish to use one then simply use a small sauce pan in place of it.
  • If you would rather, you can place a cup of water in the microwave, and let it stay in there until it becomes steaming hot and then follow the directions for using the herbs and tea ball in the water.
  • Do not drink if you are allergic to ginger and or peppermint.
  • If drinking hot then be careful how hot you drink it, allowing it to cool some, so that you don't burn yourself.
  • Do not add a larger amount of herbs than the amount that is stated within this article.
