1. Invite all those people who have been in your life from day one. Your parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles, these people all qualify. Chances are they'll have heard about the wedding long before they receive the invitation, and that's a good thing.

2. Talk to your parents about a few close friends they want to invite. Even though it is your day, your parents are proud of you and what to share your big day with their closest friends too.

3. Think about where your wedding and reception will be held. If each venue only holds two hundred people comfortably, take that into consideration. You could increase or decrease your numbers accordingly.
