Every now and then your child will come home with a special project they have to complete, say maybe for a science class. This is a great opportunity for parents to get involved. Just don’t go too far and do the project for them. Let them earn their grade themselves. It will be more rewarding and valuable that way.

From Quick Guide: Class Project Ideas
Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Make sure your child has an understanding of what the project is about. What are the requirement and its significance?

  2. Step 2

Brainstorm ideas together. Again remember this is his project, so work with what excites him, and not the other way around.

  3. Step 3

Once she has an idea, ask her to set a time-line to finish the project. Make her write the steps, with you gently correcting any step that may be wrong.

  4. Step 4

Help them build the project, but again makes sure they do the bulk of the work. You are just there for the stuff their little hands can’t handle

  5. Step 5

Make sure you and your child have fun. If you have fun together, it will be a experience she will want to repeat.
