How to Honor Mothers and Grandmothers during the Wedding

This is a beautiful way to honor mothers and grandmothers during your wedding ceremony.

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

• Long Stem Roses
• Ribbon

1. Before the ceremony, select a long stemmed rose for each mother/grandmother/person to be honored and tie a ribbon on the stem. Lay the roses on the alter/table with the unity candle.
2. When it's time to light the unity candle, have a special song played or sung by a singer.
3. After lighting the unity candle, the bride and groom each pick up their roses and gracefully walk over to their parents.
4. The bride presents a rose to her mother and grandmother while the groom presents to his. (or any other special women - like a second mom). This can include a hug and a kiss.
5. The bride and groom meet in the center and walk back up to the alter together where they can then hold hands, facing each other while the song finishes.
