Peerflix is a website that allows you to trade in your old DVDs for new ones and pay only 99 cants for each DVD. It's a great option for movie buffs looking to expand their collection without demolishing their bank accounts.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • DVDs
  • Peerflix account
  • Computer
  • Internet access
  • Printer
  • Stamps
  1. Step 1

To start trading your movies, you need to place some of your old ones on the market. Once you have your movies that you're willing to trade in, click on the green button that says "what's in your movie collection?"

  2. Step 2

A window will pop up and prompt you to enter the ISBN number on the DVD case. This number can be found just below the barcode. For example, the ISBN number for "Fever Pitch" is 024543198413. Once you enter the number, click the box that says "Look up." The DVD you entered will pop up, and if it's the correct DVD, click the box that says "Add to your list." Add all the movies you're willing to trade by ISBN number.

  3. Step 3

Once you have all your movies entered, click on the "Movies I own" box. On the next page click the box that says "I want to sell this" for all the movies you want to sell. When someone buys your movie, you will be prompted to print a mailing envelope. Slip the DVD (not the DVD case) into the envelope and place 2 stamps on the envelope to mail the movie. Every time you mail a movie, you will rack up credits and money to buy DVDs from other peerflix members.

  4. Step 4

To buy movies, search for your desired titles and click the box that says "I want to see this." Once you have your list, select the movies you want to buy by clicking the "I want to buy this" box. When you buy a movie, your credit card will be charged 99 cents. The peerflix member you're buying the movie from will send the movie in the mail and you can expect it in a week.
