Looks and works just like a normal switch

Order your EnOcean wireless 3 way switch kit from http://www.enoceanwireless.com/3waykit.html You can order up to 30 switches per receiver, put a switch in every corner of the room!

  2. Step 2

The first step in the process is to determine where to install the receiver. The easiest place to put it is behind the existing switch. After turning off the power, remove the existing light switch and count the wires, if you have 2 blacks, 2 whites and 2 grounds, you should be able to install the receiver here. Connect the receivers white terminals to the white wires in the box, these should be connected together already, add the white receiver wires to this existing connection using a wire nut. Connect the Receiver Black wire to the black wire in the box that is the power source. (See tips) Connect the Receiver Red wire to the Black wire heading to the light. Now Program The receiver, see step 3. If you have more or less wires in the box, it will be easier to install the receiver at the light fixture, see step 2

  3. Step 3

To install the receiver at the light fixture. (TURN OFF THE POWER) First remove the fixture, disconnect only the black and white wires heading into the fixture. Connect the Receiver red wire to the fixture black wire. Connect the white wires all together (box, receiver and fixture white wires) Connect the Black wire from the box to the Receiver black wire. Program (see next step) reinstall light fixture.

  4. Step 4

To Program. This is the quick and easy part. After everything is installed, turn the power on, Press the "LRN" (learn) button on the receiver and then press the switch. the receiver will stop flashing for a few seconds and then return to blinking, while it is blinking press the second switch, repeat for up to 30 switches. When all the switches are done, press the "LRN" button again. Reinstall the light fixture or the switch and you are complete!

Tips & Warnings
  • To determine which wire is the power source and which wire feeds the light, pull both black wires out of the box and separate them. Place a wire nut on the end of each wire. Temporarily turn on the breaker while everybody is clear of the wiring. Use a power sensor (available at Home Depot for $9.95) to determine which black wire is lighting the sensor. This is your power source wire. Turn the power off again and continue.
  • TURN OFF THE BREAKER BEFORE WORKING ON ANY WIRING!
  • sometimes the white wire is used as a hot wire in a 3 way installation, if your white wire has a piece of black tape on each end or is colored black, it is most likely not a neutral and you need to install the receiver at the light fixture.
  • If at anytime you see a black wire connected directly to a white wire, it is best to email us to get some assistance. Switch@RunLessWire.com
