Once popular in the days of hippies and disco, chopsticks have found their way back as one of today's chicest ways to a casual hair updo that can easily be let down later. But how do you accomplish this seemingly easy style?

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Pair of chopsticks
  1. Step 1

Make a bun. Pull your hair back, twist it into a bun and hold it together. Starting below the bun, push the first stick diagonally upward through the center of the loose bun.

  2. Step 2

Fasten it in place. Keeping the stick pressed against your scalp, turn it around and push it back down tightly through the middle of the bun. The stick will secure the style.

  3. Step 3

Finish it up. Insert the second stick from the top of the bun diagonally down to the botom and let the ends fan out. Your hair will have a soft wave when you take it down.
