Bread can go stale pretty quickly if you forget about it. But don't throw it away. With just a little effort, you can freshen it up and it will be as good as new.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Stale bread
  • Water
  • Aluminum foil
  • Oven
  1. Step 1

Preheat the oven to 325 degrees.

  2. Step 2

Brush the top of the loaf with a little water. You can use a basting brush or even your fingers.

  3. Step 3

Wrap the loaf in aluminum foil and seal the creases. The foil will keep the bread from getting browned and dried out.

  4. Step 4

Bake in the oven for 10 minutes.

  5. Step 5

Remove foil and wrap the bread in a napkin or towel to keep it warm until serving.

Tips & Warnings
  • Consider using stale bread for making French toast. Dry bread really soaks the egg and milk mixture up and makes great French toast.
  • Don't leave it in the oven too long, or the crusts will get tough.
