How to Create a Dora the Explorer Costume
Dora the Explorer is a little girl that is the cartoon star of a Nickelodeon children's show. With her friend, a monkey named Boots, and a backpack full of useful items, she helps people and has many adventures. Dress your daughter as the adorable Dora with just a few simple items. This is an easy costume to put together and you may have some of the basic items on hand already.

- Pink, short-sleeved T-shirt
- Orange shorts
- Yellow socks
- White sneakers
- Brown bob style wig
- Purple backpack
- Large google eyes
- Fabric glue
- Red felt
- Yellow felt

Dress your child in a dark pink T-shirt and a pair of orange shorts.

Add a pair of bright yellow socks and white sneakers to finish the basic Dora outfit.

Put on a brown bob style wig with bangs, unless your daughter's hair can be cut to emulate Dora's.

Create Dora's backpack. Glue two large google eyes on to the back of a purple backpack. Cut a wide, smiling mouth out of red felt and glue it underneath the eyes. Add two yellow, felt eyebrows, glued above the google eyes.

Slip a colorful yellow beaded bracelet on to your child's wrist.
