This is a fun little ditty if you want a pad of peel-able paper according to certain specifications. Or modify the instructions just slightly, and you can make your own book.
Bookbinder’s PVA or some other white glue that isn’t Elmer’s (it’s too brittle)
Wide brush for gluing
C-clamps and two boards
Step1
Jog the paper so the edges are perfectly aligned and place the paper between the boards with about an inch sticking out. Clamp securely with c-clamps.
Step2
Push the paper over with one hand and spread glue across the edges with the other. Don’t push too far or you won’t be able to peel the paper off the pad.
Step3
Push the paper over the other way and glue again.
Step4
Let the glue dry a little, then repeat.
Step5
Bring the paper back to center and put a couple of coats of glue across the edges.
Step6
Carefully slide the paper all the way into the boards and clamp tightly, letting the glue dry completely. You may find it useful to put wax paper on either side of the pad so it doesn’t stick to the boards.
Tips & Warnings
If you want to make a book, push the paper really far over when you glue, and do a couple more coats. Then just make a cover that will go all the way around, score the spine creases, and glue to the spine.
Try printing on paper before gluing to personalize it.
