This natural cleaning scrub is a great way get the job done and it's kind to your nose. Use it to clean your sinks, tub, dishes, and I even use it on my flat top stove.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • 3 cups baking soda
  • 2-3 Tbsp. dried herbs or spices
  • food processor or mortar and pestle
  • container for storage

Step1
ground herbs Combine dried herbs or spices of your choice into a food processor or mortar and pestle. Grind about one minute in food processor or one to two minutes in mortar and pestle.
Note: You will get a finer grind using a mortar and pestle.
Step2
Combine ground herbs or spices and baking soda in your storage container and stir or shake until the ingredients are well mixed.
Step3
If you need to make a more abrasive scrub, add salt at the end or while cleaning.

on 1/17/2008 I hear you. With two small kids of my own, I love finding new ways to use all the awesome natural things around us. I actually got the idea as I was making some lavender white-hot chocolate. It smelled so good that I thought I would try making a lavender-mint cleaning scrub and was pleasantly surprised. It made cleaning the tub kind of exciting...as exciting as that could be, of course.
