This prayer, said three times a day, reminds us of Christ's incarnation.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Be aware that this prayer is prayed at 6:00 a.m., 12 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. during most of the year. During the Easter season the Regina Coeli is prayed instead. If two or more people pray this one should reader the Leader part and the other the Response part. An individual will obviously say the whole prayer.

  2. Step 2

Leader: The Angel of the Lord declared to Mary:
Response: And she conceived of the Holy Spirit.

    Hail Mary,
    Full of Grace,
    The Lord is with thee.
    Blessed art thou among women,
    and blessed is the fruit
    of thy womb, Jesus.
    Holy Mary,
    Mother of God,
    pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of death.
    Amen

  3. Step 3

Leader: Behold the handmaid of the Lord:
Response: Be it done unto me according to Thy
    word.
    Hail Mary,
    Full of Grace,
    The Lord is with thee.
    Blessed art thou among women,
    and blessed is the fruit
    of thy womb, Jesus.
    Holy Mary,
    Mother of God,
    pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of death.
    Amen

  4. Step 4

Leader: And the Word was made Flesh:
    Response: And dwelt among us.
    Hail Mary,
    Full of Grace,
    The Lord is with thee.
    Blessed art thou among women,
    and blessed is the fruit
    of thy womb, Jesus.
    Holy Mary,
    Mother of God,
    pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of death.
    Amen

  5. Step 5

Leader: Pray for us, O Holy Mother of God,
Response: that we may be made worthy of the
    promises of Christ.

  6. Step 6

    Leader: Let us pray.

Pour forth, we beseech Thee, O Lord, Thy grace into our hearts that we, to whom the
incarnation of Christ, Thy Son, was made known by the message of an angel, may by His
Passion and Cross be brought to the glory of His Resurrection, through the same Christ Our
    Lord.

    Response: Amen.
