Go to “Book a flight”

Check “round trip” which mean you are purchasing a ticket to go and come back or “one way “ if you are not sure when you are coming back.

Enter the airport code where it says “From –To”, example if you are leaving from John F. Kennedy you enter “JFK” to SDQ which is the code for Dominican Republic. If you don’t know the airport code of the country or city you are visiting you have the option to see it by using “Lookup” tool.

Next, enter the departure date, month, day, time, this also provide a small calendar that allow you to choose the day and the month you are planning to travel.

Now enter the returning date with the same steps as when departing.

On the “search by” tool, search by “price and scheduled” this will give you the opportunity to save and see more flights available.

Next, If you are travelling with a child or an elderly person make sure to click on “Advanced Search tool”, in this part you can select what type of passenger you are travelling with and you will be able to get discount for a child and an adult passenger.

There are other boxes to fill out for example the “Number of Stops”, make sure you check this always otherwise they will give you flights with stops and it may take you longer to get to your destination. Also make sure you select “Cabin Preference” this tool allowed you to check either economy or business class seats.

make sure to select your residence on the “Resident of” tool, place United States if you are within the USA.

In the “Number of flights to display” tool you have the option to select how many flights you would like to see.

The “Select Carriers” tool is very important, here you select the airline you want to see flights from.

After all this information in enter press “Go” or continue

As you see the flights, select the departure date from the selections, once selected click go or continue.

Now you can select the returning date, check the time that’s best for you. Press continue now you will see an “Optional Login” unless you have an AAdvantage Card do not do anything about this. This I will discuss in my next article.

In this last part you will see your ticket and the amount to be pay. Here you have the option to buy it if you like it. If you do follow the instructions, fill out your name, last name for you and your family, friends or spouse. If you are purchasing this ticket press continue, click on purchase enter your credit card information and your information and press continue.
Step17
Next you will see a copy of your online e-ticket which you can print or save in your computer documents. www.aa.com will also send you an e-mail message to your e-mail account to confirm your purchase if you provided an e-mail to them.
Step18
Once at the airport all you need to show is your passport and a picture ID# all your information is on their system already. Thanks and have a great flight.

on 5/8/2008 Greetings, "Sautewes" I pick American Airlines because so far this is the best airline I have used tyo travel. You make a great comment about the seat, I totally forgot about that, this is the answer to that, you can also select your own seat when you buy your ticket online, you check the plain and see which seats are still available and then you choose. Thank you for your comment.
