Is it a soup, a stew or an entrée? That all depends....

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • 1 pound of ground hamburger meat
  • 1 globe onion, chopped
  • 1 bell pepper, chopped
  • 2 tablespoon jalapeño pepper, chopped
  • 1 small can green beans
  • 1 regular can diced tomatoes (not drained)
  • 1 regular can carrots (fresh will do)
  • 2 medium-sized potatoes, chopped
  • 1 regular can creamed corn
  • season salt
  • sea salt
  • freshly-ground black pepper to taste
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • dash of hot pepper sauce
  • 2 or more cups water
Step1
Chop the onion, bell pepper, jalapeño pepper and potatoes and grind the black pepper.
Step2
Sauté the onion and brown the ground meat in a deep saucepan then drain.
Step3
Introduce the green pepper to the pan with the drained onion and meat.
Step4
Add the rest of the vegetables with the spices and water and cook at between 150 and 300 degrees.
Step5
Season to taste.
Step6
After cooking for at least 20 minutes, add creamed corn to thicken. (Naturally, you should add more water if you want something that's “soupier”).

Tips & Warnings

  • This is a recipe to which you can even add your left-over salad from the night before. The more ingredients you add the more you will enjoy it! Make it your own.
