Doing a front somersault on the trampoline is really easy after you get the hang of it. It can lead to a number of other things in trampolining.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • A trampoline
  1. Step 1

Get used to the trampoline. It helps if you have some experience

  2. Step 2

bounce on your hands and knees about 3 or 4 times (not high bounces.) When you are ready flip yourself over. This "flip" doesn't have to be much more than a forward roll.

  3. Step 3

Do this a number of times. When you are comfortable get off your hands and knees and bend down a bit. Look at the bed of the trampoline and flip yourself over.

  4. Step 4

It doesnt matter if you are landing on your back for now however if you wish to attempt to land on you feet tuck your knees and chin in, this will make you go round faster which will give you more time to tuck in and then kick out.

  5. Step 5

Bit by bit stop bending down and stand up. Dont be afraid to jump high, remember the key word is practise.

Tips & Warnings
  • Tuck your knees in for the first half, and then kick out.
  • This is very dangerous for younger children and they shouldn't be left un-suppervised at ANY time
  • It can still be dangerous for adults, if you hurt yourself then stop and try again later.
