Things You'll Need:
- 3 fresh leeks
- vinegar
- virgin olive oil
- 1 clove of garlic
- 1 heel of French bread
- sea salt
- romaine lettuce
- 1 teaspoon of sweet basil
- freshly-ground pepper
- 1 teaspoon of fresh chervil
- 1 beefsteak tomato

Step 1
Peel the garlic, roll it in salt, then smear the garlic over the surface of the bread, like a child using a crayon.

Grind the pepper. Tear the leaves of romaine lettuce into bite-sized fragments.

Mix the salt, pepper, vinegar and olive oil.

Chop up the leeks and tomato and mix them up with the lettuce.

Introduce the basil and chervil and drizzle the dressing over the whole.
