    Instructions

    Things You'll Need

    • Pie tin
    • Aluminum foil
    • Pot holder
    • Paper towels
      • 1

Heat your oven on its lowest setting.

      • 2

Line the pie pan with aluminum foil to collect the melted wax for easy disposal.

      • 3

Place the votive holders upside down on the pie pan.

      • 4

Put the pie pan and candle holder into the oven together. The heat will melt the wax and it will run into the pie tin.

      • 5

Take it out when the wax is melted and use a paper towel to wipe any remaining wax off easily. It's hot, so make sure that you are using a pot holder or another type of barrier that will keep you from burning your hands.

      • 6

Pour a little bit of boiling water on the wax if it is on a glass tabletop. It should melt the wax and you can wipe it up with paper towels.

    Tips & Warnings

    • Freezing it can work just as well. Put the votive holder in the freezer for a few minutes and the wax will easily pop out. On a table, rub ice over it and scrape it off.

    • Wax burns at high temperatures, so make sure that you keep your oven on the lowest setting.
