Step1
George in
"Facts of Life." You may be wondering what Blair, Natalie, Jo and Tootie have in common with George. Well, believe it or not for two seasons George was actually a featured actor on the popular '80s show. Portraying George Bennett, the good natured carpenter, George traded lines with Tootie and the gang and sported the requisite '80s mullet.
Step2
George in
"Return of the Killer Tomatoes," Every actor has to get their start somewhere and for George, this was his first big movie. In this 1980s slapstick farce, George goes for the laughs sporting fluffy long hair and dreamily, droopy eyes.
Step3
George in
"ER." In the role that made him a star, George made women swoon as the original Dr. McDreamy, Dr. Douglas Ross.
Step4
George in
"Three Kings." In his first big movie role post-"ER", George portrays Major Archie Gates who, along with three soldier buddies, attempt to steal a stash of Kuwaiti gold at the end of the Persian Gulf War. Instead however, they find themselves getting involved with civilians being executed by Saddam Hussein and left defenseless by the U.S. military. Critically lauded, "Three Kings" was very well received at the box office and showed George in all his male hunkiness.
Step5
George in
"Out of Sight." Here George stars as Jack Foley, a bank robber who escapes from prison, attempts to rob a tycoon and seduces the female marshal (Jennifer Lopez) out to capture him. As a movie goer, you'll enjoy the "Pulp Fiction"-like story. Women will absolutely drool over George's six-pack abs.
Step6
George directing
"Confessions of a Dangerous Mind." It's George's directorial debut. Based on the cult memoir of the same name, game show impresario Chuck Barris claims to have a double life-television producer by day, CIA assassin by night. George has a small role in the film as CIA Special Agent Jim Byrd who recruits Barris to become a hired killer for the federal government.
Step7
George in
"Oceans 11, 12 and 13." Only George can re-make a movie that starred Frank Sinatra and make it better than the original. As Danny Ocean, George is all cool, suave and charming.
Step8
George in
"Syriana." George's Oscar winning role. Here, George stars as Bob Barnes, a longtime CIA agent preparing to slow down his life and spend more time with his teenage son. But his last secret mission soon turns out to be more complicated than he imagined as he is placed in the middle of a dangerous conspiracy involving government corruption, oil and international terrorism. To heighten the realism, George learned to speak Arabic and even put on 30 pounds for the role. Now that's a dedicated actor.
Step9
George in
"Michael Clayton." George's latest film and clearly one of his best. As the title character, Clayton is the "fixer" of his law firm--the man who cleans up legal messes for VIPs and corporations. But he has a number of personal and professional problems. His family life is a mess. He's a lone parent, his brother has run up large debts, he's struggling with a gambling problem and he has become tired of fixing other people's mistakes. When an old friend and colleague, suffers a nervous breakdown after working on a lengthy and difficult case, Clayton is called in to fix the problem. As he discovers more about the case however, Clayton soon realizes that he is facing the biggest challenge of his career and ultimately, his life. After being nominated for several prestigious awards this year, "Michael Clayton" (and George) are bound to be headed for Oscar glory.
Step10
George and his charity work
Along with being charming, sexy, handsome and talented, George is also extremely charitable. Some of George's numerous humanitarian efforts include donating his 2006 Oscar gift bag to the United Way. He is also working tirelessly on behalf of Darfur's refugees, which included spending 10 days in the region with his father in order to make a film showing the dramatic situation, and being a founding member (along with Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, Don Cheadle and Jerry Weintraub) of the group, "Not On Our Watch," an organization that focuses global attention and resources to stop and prevent mass atrocities. George is also an environmentalist as he is one of the first 100 owners of the first battery electric sports car. As you can see, George is truly is a man for all seasons.
Step11
George for office!
George for state senator. Yes, there is a movement in George's home state of Kentucky to try to convince him to run for political office including talk of a Clooney candidacy for U.S. Senate. In response, Clooney has said: "Run for office? No. I've slept with too many women, I've done too many drugs, and I've been to too many parties." Obviously, George would truly make a wonderful political candidate--he's not only sexy, he's also extremely honest.
