How to Attend a Super Bowl Party When You're Not a Fan of Either Team

Attending a Super Bowl party can be a great way to watch the big game. However, a party can be somewhat of a letdown if you don’t care for either team that is playing. Here is how to attend a Super Bowl party when you’re not a fan of either team.

1. Try to find a neutral Super Bowl party. Many times, people will throw a party on Super Bowl Sunday regardless of the teams playing in the actual game. Finding a party that is full of people who just like football and not necessarily one of the teams playing in the Super Bowl will help make the day more fun for you.
2. Wear your favorite jersey or piece of NFL apparel regardless of who is playing in the Super Bowl. Just because your team isn’t playing in the Super Bowl doesn’t mean that you no longer are a fan of that team. Besides, there’s always next year.
3. Drive yourself to the Super Bowl party. This way, if you find that you’re just not interested in the game, you can leave whenever you desire.
4. Make a small wager on the game or create a Super Bowl pool. You’ll find that you care more about the Super Bowl if you actually have something riding on the outcome. This is especially helpful if there are two teams playing in the game that you cannot stand.
5. Bring other activities to the party. You could bring a deck of cards or a board game to the Super Bowl party, for example. There is a good chance that there will be at least one other person who isn’t going to want to watch every play of this particular Super Bowl. These activities can help pass the time.
6. Don’t waste your night complaining about the game. It’s understandable that you’re let down about your favorite team not playing in the Super Bowl. Still, you don’t want to ruin the night for everybody else, especially those who are very interested in the game.
