Save Your Soul Save Your Soul

Some people believe that they should do everything they can to get all they can out of this life, even if it means getting it at the expense of others in a wrongful fashion. People who think like this usually believe that when they die, they will just peacefully go to sleep and never wake up. Your spirit is eternal. When you die, your soul will eventually be in one of two places. One place is so peaceful, so beautiful, so holy and is in the presence of Almighty God. The other place is the exact opposite of that. There is a way to ensure that your soul is saved.

Instructions

Difficulty: Challenging

Things You’ll Need:

  • Bible
  • Jesus

Step1
Repent. Admit that you have sinned and that you would like to be forgiven.
Step2
Accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. In the Bible in the book of John chapter 14 verse 6, Jesus said, “I am the way the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”
Step3
Diligently seek God in heaven through private prayer and reading the Bible.
Step4
Obey the Ten Commandments. The peer pressure we experience from society often will make us sin. The weakness of our flesh will also lead us to sin. Resist these pressures. God does not give us more that we can handle.
Step5
Don’t be consumed by trying to be rich in this world. Jesus said in the Bible in the book of Matthew chapter 16 verse 26, “What does it profit a man if he gains the whole world and loses his own soul?”

Tips & Warnings

  • Be a person of high morals and high integrity.
  • You never know when your number will be called. Be ready. It is a scary thing to die and not know God.

on 5/30/2008 Good, solid advice. Why so many people have difficulty with it, I don't know. Actually, I guess I do. Life is full of fun and exciting temptations that can eventually lead to pain and suffering. Following the will of God vs. your own will does not seem as much fun ... at first. That's sort of like going out on the town for a good drunk. It feels fun at first, but is it worth it the next morning.

God bless and thanks for the piece.
