Here is a scenario we have all been in: you are applying your foundation make-up and you realize that you are completely out of the loose powder you normally use to set it. In a pinch you can use something else that almost everyone will probably have on-hand; just don’t use it every time.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Foundation make-up
  • A make-up powder brush
  • Non-fragranced baby powder
  • Pressed face powder

Step1
Apply your foundation as usual but do not skip ahead to the pressed face powder.
Step2
Open a non-fragranced container of baby powder and pour a very small amount into your hand.
Step3
Take the powder brush and dab it into the baby powder, then gently brush it across your face as you would normally do with your loose face powder.
Step4
Throw away the remaining baby powder in your hand, tap the brush on your fingers to remove any existing baby powder and brush over your face once more until the baby powder is not apparent.
Step5
Finish your foundation make-up with your compact of pressed powder. This will not only blend the baby powder better but will give you the “finished” effect that you normally get.

Tips & Warnings

  • If you have a darker skin tone then the baby powder may be very apparent, so use it very lightly or just use the powder brush to brush on some of your pressed powder instead.
