Step 1
If you have to work on Valentine’s Day, take the day off. It’s bad enough that your fiancée is out of town. Take a personal day and avoid the stress that can come at work.
-
Step 2
Stay in bed and sleep in. With your fiancée away, you won’t have to worry about anybody waking you up early.
-
Step 3
Order delivery or take-out for your meals. Since you can’t be with your fiancée on Valentine’s Day, there’s no real reason for you to bother cooking. Order some wings and pizza or something of that nature.
-
Step 4
Call your single friends and see what they are doing. If your friends don’t have any plans, perhaps you all could get together and play some cards or even go to a bar for a few drinks. Just because your fiancée is out of town doesn’t mean that you have to sit at home all by yourself on Valentine’s Day.
-
Step 5
Go out to a theater and see a movie. You probably won’t run into too many couples on Valentine’s Day if you go see a non-romantic movie. This Valentine’s Day could be the perfect opportunity for you to see that movie that your fiancée won’t go see with you.
-
Step 6
If there’s a sporting event in your area during Valentine’s Day, get tickets and go. This is an especially good idea if your fiancée is not a fan of sports.
-
Step 7
Go to the gym during the evening. There’s a good chance that nobody will be there, so you won’t have to worry about any of the good equipment being used. Exercising will also keep your mind off the fact that you’re without your fiancée on Valentine’s Day.
-
Step 8
Designate a time when you can speak with your fiancée during Valentine’s Day. It’s still nice to talk to your significant other on Valentine’s Day even if you can’t spend the day or evening with her.
