Step1
The first thing you need is the fax that you want to send. If you already have a file on your computer, then you're good to go!
If the document that you need to send isn't already on your computer, then you'll need to use a scanner to convert your document into a digital file.
Be sure to give your file a name and save it somewhere that you can remember and access easily. Most file formats are accepted, but the most frequently used formats are .jpg, .tif and .doc.
Step2
Next you need to review and sign up for an internet fax service. There is a wide range of online fax companies who will fax your document for a small fee. Some offer free trials, as well. Here are a few companies to look at.

Choose one that you understand and feel comfortable with. Also look for one that will allow you to send your fax by email. Sign up for one and have your account details ready for the next step.
Step3
Log into your account with the internet fax provider you chose. Follow the instructions to upload your saved document and complete any additional information that is required. Enter the fax number that you'd like to send your file to and hit send. You're done!
