Each zodiac sign rules certain parts of the body. Virgo rules the intestines, brain and nervous system. Virgo will be healthiest if they eat a balanced diet of fresh, seasonal food, with an emphasis on the particular foods that strengthen the Virgo system.

How to Cook for a Virgo

Step1
Recommended starches for Virgo are whole wheat and whole grain breads, oats, corn bread and brown rice.
Step2
Recommended proteins for Virgo are wheat germ oil, almonds, cheese, lean beef, lamb, yogurt, eggs and cottage cheese.
Step3
Recommended fruits and vegetables for Virgo are leafy greens (endive, chicory, romaine), oranges, bananas, lemons, melons, apples, pears, and papaya.
Step4
A good meal for Virgo would be roast lamb, marinated in lemon, garlic and rosemary. A pilaf of whole wheat and brown rice and sautéed spinach would be lovely accompaniments. Follow that with a yummy bread pudding made with cornbread.

Tips & Warnings

  • It's always important to eat plenty of whatever is in season.
  • Supplement with honey and herb teas.
  • No heavy spices, sauces, gravies or fried foods.
  • Limit sugar.
  • Try to eat chocolate only in moderation, if you can tolerate it. You may like it, but it doesn't like you.
