Step 1
Design and send out invitations. Snail mail or electronic mail is appropriate. In your invitation include information regarding the contest and available prizes, time, date, location, and any other information party guests will need. If you're planning a meal you might want to request RSVP, otherwise there's no need for an RSVP date.

Step 2
Purchase party prizes, snacks and drinks. Be sure that you have enough snacks and drinks for all the party guests. Since most of your guests will be in costume, buy snacks like chips, vegetables, dip, crackers, cheese and other finger foods. The prizes you purchase should be relevant to the theme and not very expensive. A good prize that also fits may be a miniature movie award.

Step 3
Secure a red carpet for your party. No celeb bash is complete without a red carpet. Don't worry about purchasing a full-length red carpet, enough to cover the entrance will suffice. Take photos of your guests as they arrive on the red carpet; you will have judging photos and great memories from your party.

Create a guest list of celebrities. When your party guests arrive, make sure they are on the list before letting them in. Of course if you forget a celebrity that shows up you will still allow them to enter but the list is to keep the celebrity look alike theme consistent. Be sure that your list includes as many celebrities as possible.

Decorate your home to be celebrity-friendly. Keep the lighting dim and the music soft so that your guests can interact with each other. Your seating should include plush cushions and several areas for privacy in case 2 celebrity decide to hook up. Don't go crazy with decorations, just make sure the atmosphere is one that will make celebrities comfortable.
