Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Decorations
  • Budget
  1. Step 1

Decide a theme for the bridal brunch. Since most wedding activities occur during the days leading up to the wedding, you will want to make sure the brunch stays with a set theme. If no theme is evident, decide on a theme with the rest of the bridal party or consult the bride-to-be. Whatever you choose, make sure its something older guests can participate in but also something the bride will love.

  2. Step 2

Choose a color scheme. No matter what theme you choose, your decorations should reflect a wedding atmosphere. This means that you should stick with light and pastel colors that are typical to weddings and wedding parties. Your colors should not be too overpowering or too bold. Instead, keep in mind that this is a brunch and choose colors that reflect a sophisticated afternoon brunch.

  3. Step 3

Consult bridal party regarding the types of decorations to buy. Even if you are hosting the bridal brunch you will want to get input by the rest of the ladies in the bridal party that may be privy to information that you are not. As a team, you will be able to decide on a coherent theme and types of decorations to use for the brunch.

  4. Step 4

Purchase decorations. When you purchase the brunch decorations get more than you need in case you change your mind while decorating. Be sure to purchase items relevant to the theme of the brunch, but also keeping with the bridal theme.

  5. Step 5

Set up decorations all over the brunch location. Make sure you don't concentrate decorations in one or two rooms or they will appear overpowering. Set up special decorations in the room that will be used for games and gift giving. Be sure to decorate a special chair for the bride-to-be and the mother-of-the-bride as is customary.

Tips & Warnings
  • Even though it's not a bachelorette party, a bridal veil is acceptable for the brunch.
  • Always get input from the bride-to-be.
  • Choosing all white decorations will give the bridal brunch a sterile, institutional feel.
