Turning 21 is a monumental event, and should be celebrated accordingly. At 21, you're officially an adult and legal to consume alcohol. The important thing is that you have fun and celebrate safely, among friends. Read on to learn more.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • ID
  • Designated Driver
  1. Step 1

Go to your local driver's license facility and get rid of that ID that says "under 21." Replace it with your new grown-up license or ID card so there's no question when you legally enter your favorite bar or club. This is your first official celebratory duty on your 21st birthday.

  2. Step 2

Purchase your first legal bottle of alcohol. Now that you can buy it legally you can splurge on quality alcohol that won't give you a hangover and prevent you from making it to work on time. As an adult and responsible drinker, you can spend money on quality alcohol because its no longer about quantity. Buy enough to celebrate with your nearest and dearest.

  3. Step 3

Call everyone you know and remind them that today is the big day and no excuse will be accepted for failure to appear. Round up the troops for a small celebration at your place with the alcohol you legally purchased.

  4. Step 4

Make a wish and engage in a birthday shot with your friends. It is customary that on your 21st birthday you do at least one shot. Don't go overboard, you want to live to see the day after your 21st birthday.

  5. Step 5

Hit your favorite watering hole. Take your friends and go to the nearest place in town to get quality cocktails and dinner. Don't make your 21st birthday an all-liquid day. Eat, drink and be merry on your 21st birthday.

Tips & Warnings
  • Alternate a glass of water between each drink to keep you hydrated.
  • Invite someone that doesn't mind being your designated driver.
  • Drinking too much will make you forget your entire 21st birthday.
