Difficulty: Moderately Challenging
Step1
Live your life reasonably. Do not feel the need to have everything someone else in your neighborhood or family buys or gets. You never know the price they have to pay or will have to pay to get it and keep it.
Step2
Attend community functions that offer free entertainment on specific days.
Step3
Rent your movies from your local library unless it's a movie that you really want to see. Most libraries loan out their movies at no cost.
Step4
Go to the discount movie theatre or as some refer to it, the "Dollar or Two Dollar Show" to see your movies. You may have to wait a week or two before it gets to the discount movie theatre to see it.
Step5
Stay away from acquiring unnecessary credit and credit cards. Acquiring credit cards and additional credit tempts you to purchase unnecessary items resulting in unnecessary debt increase. The more debt you attain, the more money you need to pay off your debts.
Step6
Shop at outlet stores and discount stores to find quality items for less money.
Step7
Use coupons when buying groceries. Many have been know to save hundreds of dollars just by clipping coupons. If you don't mind clipping coupons, you can save a good deal of money.
Step8
Purchase items with cash as much as possible. Having this mind set will help to limit your debt because if you can't buy it with cash right away, it will allow you the time to decide whether it's really something you need or not as opposed to buying things on impulse simply because you have a credit card with the available credit to purchase whatever you want and yet most times, regret it later.
Step9
Save and invest the extra money each month that you now have.

Here's a tip - if you use milk in bags: open the end, thoroughly rinse the bag and wash it the next time you have soapy water in the sink. Let it dry and then store it. The next time you buy chicken, ground beef, etc. buy the family value size and when you get it home immediately break it into meal sized bags using the milk bags which are high quality and FREE. If you slit all the way around the bag to get 2 pieces and then cut them in half they make excellent dividers. When making pre-made hamburger patties place 1 of these small squares on the counter, cover with a patty and then place 2 more pieces then a second patty and a final piece (1 cut-up bag). This will then fit in another full bag which can be folded over and frozen. The double spacer allows you to easily separate the patties while frozen! Small warning - they will eventually get freezer burn so use the
