After a hectic festive period, many people feel that they are in need of a relaxing break. For UK residents or vistors to Britain, this article suggests one very pleasant way of doing so: spending a stressfree weekend in the beautiful surroundings of the Derbyshire Dales.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • A free weekend.
  • A car.

Step1
Select the weekend on which you would like to go away.
Step2
Choose the village and accommodation that you would like to stay in whilst in Derbyshire. Personally I particularly like the historic market town of Wirksworth and have stayed many times at the comfortable Coach House [http://www.marmadukescoachhouse.co.uk]. However there are many such beautiful villages and countless self-catering cottages available for rent.
Step3
Drive to the chosen location. This can often prove a slightly stressful experience (given traffic in Britain), so I recommend you are very careful to avoid times when the roads are busy.
Step4
Arrive and relax! You will find that the countryside is truly beautiful and there are many rural walks that you can go on to unwind. There are also several excellent pubs, which serve delicious, traditionally British dishes.
Step5
Read, sleep, and recuperate.
