How to Make Baby Food Bars

You don't have to be a baby to appreciate this dessert! Baby food bars make a delicious treat that delight adults' taste buds and satisfy the craving for something sweet. Read on to learn how to make them.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • 3 beaten eggs
  • 2 cups of sugar
  • 1 cup of vegetable oil
  • 1/2 tsp. of salt
  • 1 tsp. of baking soda
  • 2 tsp. of cinnamon
  • 2 cups of floor
  • 3 small jars of baby food (1 of apricot, 1 of applesauce and 1 of carrots)
  • 1 3 oz. package of cream cheese
  • 1/4 cup of margarine
  • 2 1/2 cups of powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp. of vanilla extract
  • Chopped walnuts for topping (optional)
Step1
Mix all of the ingredients well, in the order given above.
Step2
Grease and flour a cookie sheet that has sides. Pour the mixture onto the sheet.
Step3
Bake for 30 minutes at 375 degrees F.
Step4
Make the frosting by combining the cream cheese, margarine, powdered sugar and vanilla extract.
Step5
When the cake is cool, top with the frosting. You may sprinkle the top with chopped walnuts if you desire. Cut into bars.
