Things You'll Need:
- 5 Large Terra Cotta Pots
- 4 Small Terra Cotta Pots
- Epoxy Glue
- Exterior House Paint in Many Colors
- Paint Brush
- ½ Inch Wooden Dowel
- Primer
- Epoxy Glue
-
Step 1
Stab a wooden dowel into the ground. This will be the main support for your layered terra cotta Easter bunny, so stab it about 1 foot into the ground and make sure it is stable.
-
Step 2
Slide the first terra cotta pot upside down onto the wood dowel. Slide it down to the ground. The hole in the center of the pot should fit over the dowel.
-
Step 3
Slide the second terra cotta pot down on the dowel face up. Add one more upside down, one right side up, and finally one right side down.
-
Step 4
Cut the extra wooden dowel sticking out your towers of terra cotta pots off. You want this to be level with the top pot.
-
Step 5
Run a line of epoxy glue in between each terra cotta pot to adhere them together. Let this dry for 24 hours.
-
Step 6
Place two small terra cotta pots on top of the tower. These will be each ear on the bunny rabbit. Glue them in place as well.
-
Step 7
Top the two small "ear" terra cotta pots off with one upside down terra cotta pot in the same size. Glue these as well. These small terra cotta pots are the ears.
-
Step 8
Primer the outside of the tower of terra cotta pots with an oil based exterior grade primer. Let this dry.
-
Step 9
Paint the Easter runny terra cotta pots white with an exterior oil bad paint in white. You can also spray this paint on.
-
Step 10
Paint a black or pink nose on the face of the Easter bunny. The face is the two top large pots.
-
Step 11
Paint a pink belly circle on the stomach of the terra cotta pot Easter bunny. The stomach is the two middle terra cotta pots.
-
Step 12
Paint more details, like eyes, whickers, a mouth, and teeth using the exterior grade paint.
