How to Sit on the Red Carpet at the Oscars

Sitting on the red carpet at the Oscars can be an incredibly exciting, start-studded experience. Getting a ticket isn’t easy. Read on to learn how.

• An Internet connection
• An application
• Transportation to Hollywood

1. Log onto www.oscars.org/bleachers. Every year in September, the Academy of Motion Pictures offers an opportunity for the public to try to win bleacher seats for the Oscars.

2. Download and print an application to fill a bleacher seat. Typically you can include up to 3 friends and family members on the application in addition to yourself. This means if your application is selected in the random drawing, each of the people listed on that application win tickets as well.

3. Wait for notification. The Academy will notify winners as well as those not selected in the bleacher seat drawing.

4. If you were not selected, try again next year!

Tips & Warnings

• Recruit friends and family members to fill out their own application and include you on it. This will increase your odds of winning a ticket.
• Fill out the application completely. Leaving anything blank may make the application ineligible for winning.
