Create more time for yourself by simplifying your products in the bathroom. You will be able to get ready without digging through your drawers to find the products you deserve to find quickly. Follow these tips to keep small toddlers out of bathroom drawer products also!

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Garbage bag
  • Area for sorting
  • See through containers
  • With kids? Get clear containers with lids.

Step1
Before Pull out everything in your drawer and remove away every obvious item that does not belong. Items that don't belong may be thrown away, or moved to another area - like jewelry that doesn't belong with your products.

Sort everything into categories:

Hair gel
Deodorant
Facial products
Make-up
Nail products
Shaving supplies

Notice if you bought or received a product that you're holding on to and didn't like it, or never use it - give yourself permission to toss items that are not working for you.

Notice if you have make-up that is older than 6 months, or at maximum a year - give yourself permission to throw it away.

Notice if you have more than one of the same product. Can they be combined?

Keep in mind the reason for decluttering your drawers as you hesitate to let things go. Keep the energy in your life vibrating with things that are fresh and new. Simplify your choices to make getting ready a breeze.

Eyeball the amount of items that are in your drawers and measure the approximate space they will require. Your drawer and containers are your boundary.
Step2
After Group categories together that are similar in clear plastic containers. This is for separating your categories. Design within the container the basic layout for your products. When you use an item, put it back in the same place. When you run out of an item you use, replace it and put it in the same space.
Step3
Label Label the lids, if you choose to have lids. I love using lids because I have a 3 year old and it keeps her out of my products.

If kids are not a concern, the lids make the operation less functional. I will eventually toss the lids.

Tips & Warnings

  • Different styles of dividers are available at Bed, Bath & Beyond, Lowe's, or Home Depot.
  • Some toddler's may be able to break into containers with these lids. I just found that it deterred mine enough that she became interested in something else.
