How to Make Braised Venison Pepper Steak

Everyone like steaks, but they haven't had these yet. Venison is a naturally lean meat, so tendering it is necessary. One of the best methods is to marinating it with milk, wine, and citrus juices. Do this marinades tenderize overnight and it will leave a very distinctive taste that it will flatter the venison's flavor.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderate

Things You’ll Need:

  • 1 1/2 lbs. venison round steak or steak shoulder
  • 1 T. soy sauce
  • 1 T. sugar
  • 1/4 t. garlic salt
  • 1/4 t. pepper
  • 1 green pepper cut is strips
  • 1 1/2 T. flour
  • 1/4 c. water
  • 2 T. cooking oil
  • 1 can of mushrooms (4 oz.)
  • 1 c. water
  • 1 beef bouillon cube

Step1
Take out your marinate meat that you had overnight from the refrigerator.
Step2
Cut it into 1/4 inch thick strips and brown meat in cooking oil. Add mushrooms, 1 c. water, bouillon cube, soy sauce, sugar, garlic salt, and pepper. Cover and cook 5 minutes.
Step3
Add green pepper strips, cover and cook an additional 3 minutes. Mix flour and 1/4 c. water, add to skillet and stir until thickened.
Step4
Then serve it over rice or noodles.
