Hear the Voice of God

God is always speaking to us, all of us. We are often moving too fast or are too busy to perceive His presence in our lives. The first indication that God speaks to man is in Genesis, after Adam and Eve had eaten from the tree of knowledge of good and evil.

It is not a strange thing that God desires to speak to His creation, it is God's creation who need to learn to discern God's voice. Learning to hear the voice of God comes very naturally to some, and for others, it takes cultivating. Here are some things that can help you when learning to hear God's voice.

Step 1

When learning to hear God's voice, know that God speaks in many different ways: Such as a mental picture (vision), a song, a thought that won't go away, a scripture, a person confirming the answer. It takes time and practice to discern the voice of God.
Step 2

If you want to hear God's voice, forgive others: If you carry unforgiveness, resentment and unconfessed sin, it will make it difficult to Hear God's voice clearly.
Step 3

Believe that God Hears you when you pray: God promises that before we call, that He will answer and show us great things. After you have prayed, be still and try to hear God's voice speaking to your spirit.
Step 4

When learning to hear God's voice have faith that God will answer you: God always answers our prayers. You will learn to discern when God is saying no and when He is telling your to wait. Some things will seem to manifest immediately and some thing take more time.
Step 5

If you need to repent, repent. When you have a clear conscience, it is easier to hear the voice of God. After you have prayed, be still and listen to what you hear in your heart. When God speaks to you, it actually sounds like your inner voice, but speaks things that are in the Word of God. God also answers our prayers through people or seeming coincidences.

on 5/1/2009 Nice. but most people this day do not know when they sin. they are soo use to everything and how they grew up they do not know when they sin.. when they create adultery and etc.
