Bake Gluten-Free Gooey Chocolate Squares

These bars are sweet, chocolaty, and delicious, and gluten-free!

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 1/2 cups gluten-free chocolate cookie crumbs
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup sweetened flaked coconut
  • 1 cup chopped roasted almonds
  • 1 14-oz. can sweetened condensed milk
  1. Step 1

Preheat the oven to 350F. Melt the butter in a small bowl in the microwave. Pour into a 9 by 13 pan and swirl around to coat the bottom evenly. Sprinkle the cookie crumbs over the butter evenly to form the crust. Pat down so the cookie crumbs are soaked into the butter.

  2. Step 2

Pour the entire can of sweetened condensed milk over the crust in an even layer.

  3. Step 3

Sprinkle over 1/3 of the chips, 1/3 of the coconut, and 1/3 of the almonds. Repeat the layering until all ingredients are gone. Pat everything down with your fingers.

  4. Step 4

Bake for 25 to 27 minutes or until completely set. Cool completely before cutting. Cut in 1 inch squares (they're very rich!)

Tips & Warnings
  • I like to put the squares into mini paper muffins liners, they're easier to handle.
  • Also great with white chocolate chips and macadamia nuts!
