Toast 1-2 pieces of bread in a toaster or toaster oven to your desired crispiness.

Remove bread from toaster/toaster oven and immediately put butter/margarine on the face up side of each piece of bread.

Use a small measuring cup to sprinkle/pour (depending on how you like it) sugar on the face of the bread. Pour on so much sugar that it piles up on all sections of the bread. This will ensure that the bread picks up enough sugar and makes a nice thick layer of butter and sugar.

Pour off excess sugar and let the toast sit in it to get even more sugar and for dipping purposes. You can also throw the sugar away or save it for future cinnamon toast experiences.

Sprinkle on just enough cinnamon to give it that combined cinnamony-sugar taste!

Enjoy with a glass of milk or a mug of hot chocolate, tea or coffee!
