PostCast Server is a utility that implements a server for the standard Simple Mail Transfer Protocol, or SMTP, on a Windows computer. A running SMTP server allows the computer to send email messages to other computers over the Internet. You can install and configure PostCast Server in a few easy steps.

      Navigate your Web browser to postcastserver.com/download. Scroll down to the "Product Editions" section of the page. Click on the download link for the version of PostCast Server you want to install -- "Free" or "Professional" -- and click "Save." Wait for the download to complete.

      Double-click on the downloaded file to run the PostCast Server install wizard. Accept all default values by clicking "Next" until the wizard completes.

      Launch PostCast Server by double-clicking on its desktop icon. Click "Settings," then click "Detect" to have PostCast Server detect your Domain Name Service, or DNS, server automatically. Select "Immediately" in the "Mail sending frequency" section. Click "OK." PostCast Server is now fully configured.
