How to Lose Three to Five Pounds a Week on the TGTW Diet.

There are many diets on the market. Most any diet will work, if the dieter sticks with the program. Some diets are more difficult to swallow than others. The following steps of the TGTW diet are simple and have proven to work for me in the past in my efforts to lose weight. Because it works for me, I wanted to share it with you. Just this week I started the TGTW diet plan again and I have lost three pounds since Tuesday, January 8, 2008 and this is Saturday, January 12. I am expecting to lose three to four pounds a week. And I don't get hungry. I do run to the toilet a lot, but that is a good thing. Additionally, the TGTW diet is very nutritious, which is also an added bonus. Get on it and let's lose weight together. I'll tell you what I will do. When I get back down to where I was in the picture above, I will make a new picture every week and post it up. You will be able to see the weight drop off of me. It will drop off of you also. Let's do it together. Always consult with your physician before starting any diet. As always, my prayer for you and your loved ones is to remain healthy and safe, become wealthy, and grow wiser.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderate

Things You’ll Need:

  • TGTW FOOD LIST
  • Small apples and oranges
  • Tangerines
  • Skinless chicken breast
  • Very lean hamburger
  • Large eggs
  • Canned green beans
  • Chicken noodle soup
  • Peanut Butter
  • Cheese slices
  • Whole wheat bread
  • Oats
  • Cabbage
  • Cauliflower,
  • Broccoli
  • Celery
  • Onions
  • Greens peppers
  • Lettuce
  • Cucumbers
  • Greens
  • coffee and tea
  • Artificial sweetener
  • Grapefruit
  • Bouillon cubes
  • Pretzels, Ritz, Crackers
  • cinnamon
  • Water, water, and water

Step1
1. Eat three meals a day, four hours apart.
2. Before each meal drink two glasses of water.
3. Include one piece of whole wheat bread at each meal.
4. Have two snacks a day from the snack list.
5. No fried foods. No foods not on the diet plan.
6. Only one bite of a sweet if absolutely necessary. But no more.
7. Boiled or poached eggs only.
8. Drink water or unsweetened tea at each meal.
9. Broiled chicken or hamburger patties are the only meats.
10. If you find that you are getting hungry between meals, add 1 more piece of whole wheat bread at a meal. When you get adjusted to the diet, take away this added piece of bread. Remember, we want to lose weight; not eat our fill.
Step2
Choose one meal from the meals listed below for each setting.

Breakfast 1- poached egg, 1 piece whole wheat, coffee.


Breakfast 2 - 1/2 cup of oats seasoned with cinnamon only, 1 piece of toast, coffee.

Breakfast 3 - 1/2 grapefruit, artificial sweetener only, 1 piece of toast, coffee.

Lunch 1 - 1/4 cup chicken noodle soup with 1/4 added water, three crackers, 1 piece of wheat bread, water or unsweetened tea.

Lunch 2 - Small salad, boiled egg, 1 piece of whole wheat bread, water or unsweetened tea.

Lunch 3 - 1/2 piece of cheese with four crackers, small salad, water or unsweetened tea.

Dinner 1 - broiled chicken breast, 1/2 can green beans, serving of free food, 1 piece of whole wheat bread, water or unsweetened tea.

Dinner 2 - broiled hamburger meat, 1/2 can green beans, serving of free food, 1 piece of whole wheat bread, water or unsweetened tea.

Dinner 3 - Two boiled eggs, small salad, serving of free food, 1 piece of whole wheat bread, water or unsweetened tea.
Step3
SNACKS PERMITTED ON THE TGTW DIET PLAN
1. Two Ritz crackers and 1/2 piece of cheese
2. Two crackers with very small amount of peanut butter.
3. Apple, orange, or tangerine
4. Two cups popcorn, no butter
5. Three or four pretzels
6. Boiled egg
7. 1/4 cup of Cheese crackers.
8. A cup of hot bouillon. (Use one bouillon cube and one cup hot water.)
9. Choose any food or a mixture of foods from the free food list; two cups raw, one cup cooked. FREE FOOD LIST INCLUDES: cabbage, lettuce, broccoli, cauliflower, onions, green peppers, any type of greens.
10. NOTE: At snack time, also drink one glass of water.

Tips & Warnings

  • Include a multiple vitamin and vitamin C tablet each day while following the TGTW diet. Vitamin C helps prevent the aging process. REASONING: Each cell has these 'free radicals' bouncing around in them which destroys parts of the cell. When the damaged cells multiple to make more cells, your body has just made damaged new cells. And the process continues. Vitamin C naturalizes these free radicals and prevents them from harming the cells. When the cells make new cells, the cells are more like the original cells, and therefore we age much slower.
  • Don't run out of the fruit.
  • Keep the cupboards filled with foods on the TGTW food list.
  • Some diets restrict salt overlooking the need for salt in the diet. Use salt as recommended by your physician.
  • Make sure you have the Free Foods available at all times. If you just have to have something additional, eat another serving from the Free Food list.
  • If you are 'dying' for something specific, eat 1/2 cup of whatever you can't live without, once a week. No more.
  • If you crave sweets, eat one piece of hard candy once a day. (Peppermint, butterscotch, etc.) Again, if you are not permitted candy or sweets, don't eat it just because it is stated here that you may do so. Use common sense always. Never do anything that goes against what your physician has told you to do. I don't go against the grain on health issues. I would rather see you plump than to help you lose weight by doing something that your physician doesn't think you should be doing.
  • You must drink the water. Two glasses of water before a meal is similar to taking an expensive diet pill before each meal. Water is better for you, and doesn't cost as much, and fills you up, thus preventing you from eating as much. By using the water to decease your appetite instead of diet pills, you will then be more able to buy the diet food that you need.
  • Buy extra toilet paper. You will need it. You will make extra trips to the restroom because of drinking this much water. The extra water will help to flush out your system and cleanse your body of impurities, improve your skin, help with elimination, help with digestion and on and on and on.
  • ATTENTION: If I discover new tips for the TGTW diet, I will try the tips; if the tips prove beneficial, I will share them with you.
  • If you cheat on the TGTW diet, don't kick yourself. Just get back on it ASAP.
  • I have already indicated the need to consult with your physician before beginning this diet or any diet. Certain health conditions can prevent those afflicted from drinking as much water as is in this diet. Some people are allergic to whole wheat. Other people may have stomach conditions which prevent them from eating raw vegetable and whole wheat, etc. Some people have very high cholesterol levels and are unable to eat eggs and dairy products. No weight reduction diet is worth the risk of causing more complications because of a lack of communication between you and your physician.
  • Additionally, I strongly discourage diet pills of any kind. Pills may be approved today, and ten years from now, studies may reveal that these pills were, in fact, very harmful. Why take the risk? Any type of medication, tablet, and/or diet pill has side effects. The fewer pills you take, the fewer the risks. And the money saved is an added plus.
