Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Things You’ll Need:
- Tape
- Paint
- Chalkboard paint
Step1
Map out the area you want to paint. Draw a square and tape it off or tape off a whole wall.
Step2
Buy some chalkboard paint at a hardware store. You can typically choose from a green or black color for the chalkboard.
Step3
Use another type of paint, whether it’s a craft paint or regular household paint that you have left over, to frame the square. You can be as creative as you want. Make a circle or a square or make colorful borders around the chalkboard or paint a cartoon character around the chalkboard.
Step4
Paint the chalkboard according to the directions on the can. Usually you will have to wait for a period of time before painting a second or third coat. Then, when you’re finished, be sure to let it dry for the recommended time before writing on it.
Step5
Have an unveiling and show the family where they can now “write on the walls” with chalk.
