Time can be a factor in getting a show coat clean, especially when showing multiple days with not many show coats. With a wet towel and dryer you can fake clean your show coat in a matter of minutes.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Bath towel
  • Dryer sheets
  1. Step 1

Soak a regular sized bath towel with warm water.

  2. Step 2

Wring the water out of the bath towel as good as possible.

  3. Step 3

Spot clean your show coat with a rag and warm water.

  4. Step 4

Place your show coat and damp bath towel with a few dryer sheets in the dryer.

  5. Step 5

Set the dryer on regular heat and run it for 20 minutes.

  6. Step 6

Take the show coat out of the dryer immediately after the dryer shuts off and hang the coat on a hanger. It should be clean, unwrinkled and ready for wear.

Tips & Warnings
  • Be sure to take the coat out immediately after the dryer has shut off or the coat will wrinkle.
  • Any more than 20 minutes of heat in the dryer can damage some show coats because many are made from delicate materials.
