How to Quick Clean a Show Coat

Time can be a factor in getting a show coat clean, especially when showing multiple days with not many show coats. With a wet towel and dryer you can fake clean your show coat in a matter of minutes.

Things You'll Need:

• Bath towel
• Dryer sheets

1. Soak a regular sized bath towel with warm water.

2. Wring the water out of the bath towel as good as possible.

3. Spot clean your show coat with a rag and warm water.

4. Place your show coat and damp bath towel with a few dryer sheets in the dryer.

5. Set the dryer on regular heat and run it for 20 minutes.

6. Take the show coat out of the dryer immediately after the dryer shuts off and hang the coat on a hanger. It should be clean, unwrinkled and ready for wear.

Tips & Warnings

• Be sure to take the coat out immediately after the dryer has shut off or the coat will wrinkle.
• Any more than 20 minutes of heat in the dryer can damage some show coats because many are made from delicate materials.
