2. Make dinner reservations at a five-star restaurant. You want to propose somewhere that is romantic, quiet and personal. Make sure you book dinner reservations at a restaurant you will both enjoy.
3. Get down on one knee and propose. During the course of the dinner, decide when the right time has arrived. Stand up from the table and step back. Inform your mate that you have something to ask them. Then drop to one knee, the engagement ring in one hand and ask for their hand in marriage.
4. Celebrate the fact that you are now engaged. Order some champagne to toast the event and welcome your new life together
