This is not a good time in your life to think about dieting, but taking your time and introducing good healthy food and taking out foods loaded with fat is a challenge.
You hear this all the time yet you still do not want to deal with having to change your diet. It is all just too much. There are several steps you can take to start losing the weight gained from menopause. First of all you have to be ready to change your eating habits.
Step2
You have to cut down on the sources of heavy fat like red meats and increase your fruits vegetables and grains. Unfortunately you cannot get the right diet for yourself without consulting with a dietician. You see no matter how many diets you try, if it is not the right type it could only hurt you.
Step3
Make sure you take care of your heart. Omega 3 fatty acids will have to be added to your diet also. As I said a good dietician will know what to add and that is the safest route to get a diet especially for your situation
Step4
I know the dreaded word exercise. No one wants to hear it, no one wants to bother with it. But it is actually easier than most people think. The hardest part about it is getting started.
Step5
Exercise can be as fun as you make it. Myself I love going to the gym. My sister she loves going walking with her dogs (even though they are twice as big as she is). My other sister loves playing outside with her grandchildren. See any amount of physical activity is exercise as long as you are doing more each day.
Step6
The only problem with exercise is once you start you never want to stop. My favorite is the exercise band. You can use it in many multiple ways for basically every muscle. It can help you tone those flabby arms. You know the arms that now look like wings?
Step7
Last but not least you have to want to do this in order to lose any weight. Contact your doctor or a dietician because no one can give you a diet plan, each person is different. What makes me an expert? I have been through menopause, I am only 48 years old. I play with my new grandson and go to the gym regularly. I feel healthy and know I am healthy according to my doctor. You can try to do this alone but believe me when I say they only way to get encouraged is to have someone there telling you how good you are doing.
Tips & Warnings
Remember you have to have encouragement
Get a good dietician your doctor will help
Get an elastic band it will help you get in the exercise mode
Do not take on strenuous exercise without consulting a doctor first
Do not listen to new fads of dieting without consulting a dietician
