Have the problem where the movie you are playing skips or the picture freezes? That is because your DVD is dirty. This article is the solution to your problem.
Mild dish detergent in case dirt is stubborn.
Non-lint producing cloth
Water
Step1
Place water on both sides of the DVD. If you still have that problem because of stubborn dirt, use mild dish detergent.
Step2
If you used mild dish detergent, rinse the DVD. Dry the DVD by stroking the DVD from the center to the outer rim. Use a non lint producing cloth to dry.
Step3
Put the DVD back in its tray and enjoy the rest of the show.
Step4
If you still have this problem after cleaning the DVD with mild dish detergent, take to DVD to Radio Shack to get it repaired. Sometimes this problem can still occur because there are scratches on the disk. Sometimes the disk can be so scratched that it can't work anymore.
Tips & Warnings
If you a cleaning a DVD you rented from a Redbox, be careful not to get the bar code wet and/or torn.
If dirt is stubborn, don't use any other solution other than mild dish detergent. This can be a risk to irreparably damaging the DVD.

Hey thanks. This will work great for my kid's DVDs. Wonderful idea about cleaning it from the center out instead of length wise. I suppose that way if it scratches it will be across the track rather then along where data is stored and the CD will be more likely to play.
