How to Maximize Your American Idol Viewing Experience

Watching American Idol has become many families release each season. My wife and I love the show and have found that if you prepare properly, then you can get the maximum amount of fun from the viewing experience.

Difficulty: Easy

1. The first thing you need is a great television and a great surround sound system. To fully get the wonders (and horrors) of all of the contestants, you will need a great setup.
2. Be sure to record the show so that later, you can go back and laugh at or enjoy the singers all over again. Also, it will be covered if your bathroom break coincides with a great moment.
3. You and your wife can keep a chart of what performances you did or did not like throughout the season. It is great fun to look back at this at the end of the season. What did you think of Carrie Underwood way back in week 2?
4. Load up on the popcorn and snacks for added enjoyment. Just like a great movie needs popcorn, so does a great television show like American Idol!
5. Finally keep a "Best of Simon" list throughout the season. Write down his best quotes, and any other funny things that happened. Again, this is great fun to look at later in the season or next year.
