How to Make Everclear Jello Shots

Jell-O shots are a tasty party treat that can be made with different types of alcohol. Some choose the grain alcohol Everclear -- and using too much can cause undesirable results. Everclear has a 75 percent alcohol content, which is considerably more than most types of alcohol on the market.

Things You'll Need

• 1 cup water
• Everclear
• Jell-O
• Turkey baster
• 2-ounce plastic cups

Instructions

1. Boil a cup of water.

2. Empty Jell-O packet into a medium mixing bowl, add boiling water and mix until dissolved.

3. Add 1/4 cup of Everclear and 3/4 cup of cold water and stir.

4. Use a turkey baster to suck up the mix and squirt into small plastic cups until about 3/4 full. Refrigerate for a hour or two hours until the Jell-O is firm.

Tips & Warnings

• Use different types of alcohol for fruitier and tastier shots. Try coconut rum with tropical Jell-O, lemon vodka with lime Jell-O and strawberry Jell-O with chocolate vodka.

• Everclear is very high in alcohol content and has a pure alcohol taste, so it may be wise to use less than 1/4 cup in the mix. Using too much will cause the jello to set with the wrong consistency.
