It happens to the best of us. A few days before some big event, you look in the mirror and discover a beacon on your face that would outshine any elecrically powered signal. The good news is there are lots of things in your own home that you can use to accelerate the healing process.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Wash cloth
  • Milk
  • Water
  • Ice
  • Bergamont
  • Jasmine
Step1
A hot milk compress is a popular treatment. Soak a clean washcloth in a mixture of 1 cup water and 1 cup milk. Place this over the face for five minutes to reduce redness and calm the skin.
Step2
Ice reduces the size of a new pimple. Place ice directly on the pimple for 2 minutes to reduce the swelling.
Step3
Soak a clean washcloth with a warmed mixture of 3/4 bergamont and 1/4 jasmine. Place this over your face for 5 minutes to reduce redness and calm the skin.
Step4
Some basic precautionary measures you can take to minimize acne are to drink at least 64 ounces of water daily to flush the system of toxins. Also, maintaining a balanced diet, exercising regularly, and managing stress are other natural remedies.
