How to Be Confident No Matter What

Some people suffer from self-esteem issues because they have an image of themselves set in their mind. This image, for people who aren't confident, is often distorted and not very realistic. Unfortunately, what you think of yourself and what you portray, is what those around you see. So change your image!!

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderate

Step1
Most of us have low self-esteem at some point, but for some it feels permanent. Speaking from experience, this is no way to live. Whether you are anorexic, overweight, "ugly", too short, too tall or just perfect, the key to boosting your confidence is surrounding yourself with people you love and people who love and accept you. If you have a significant other, remind yourself that person is with you for a reason, they love you for who you are and not what you look like.
Step2
Clothes and comfort are very important. Don't feel that you have to fit in with the latest trends. Comfort is essential.
Feeling good + showing it to the world = looking good
Step3
This is the hardest step, but the most important. You need to stop caring about what people think. It takes time and practice, but just remember that anyone who doesn't see your personality as being a million times more important than your looks, is truly NOT WORTH YOUR TIME! :) Respect yourself enough to be above superficial people

Tips & Warnings

  • Affirmations are very useful and do work if you believe in them. Stand in front of the mirror, smile at yourself and repeat "I am strong/ beautiful/ handsome/ wonderful...", whatever works for you.
  • Smiling will always attract people to you. It automatically uplifts those who see you and will not only boost your confidence, but make them feel good too!
