Unfortunately, these "dents" are actually places on the leather that have been stretched. It is nearly impossible to shrink leather, but you can try a little trick to make the indention less noticeable.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Hair Dryer
  • Small metal bar or utensil
Step1
Heat the area needing repair with the hair dryer, and use your hand to smooth out the area in from behind. If you feel the leather is getting too hot, then use the metal to draw the heat away from the leather.
Step2
Do not focus on the damaged area alone, but rather heat the area around the damage as well.
Step3
You will see that the indention is becoming less noticeable. Repeat the above steps until you feel the results are satisfactory. If you do not wish to attempt this on your own, the contact a leather dealer for repairs.

Tips & Warnings

  • Do not overheat the leather! Be sure you are using the metal to cool it frequently.
